Sahaung 2: boat-access pinnacle dive with rich reef life
Boat access and variable current make local operator support the practical default.
Sahaung 2 is a boat-access pinnacle dive off Bangka Island in North Sulawesi. The route works around two exposed pinnacles and the ridges between them, with soft-coral slopes, sea fans, and current that can shape the whole dive. Expect schooling fish and the occasional whitetip reef shark, eagle ray, pygmy seahorse, or nudibranch when the water is moving.

Site Conditions
Safety Notes
Carry an SMB and give the reef room until you are in a sheltered pocket; current and surge can build quickly around the rocks.
Access Restrictions
Boat access only; conditions can be current- and surge-sensitive.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Scuba divers work the twin pinnacles and ridges; current awareness and buoyancy control matter more than raw depth.
Freediving
Not a freedive-first site; the exposed pinnacles and current make scuba the practical choice.
Snorkeling
Not a casual snorkel pick; the main structure and flow suit scuba better than unassisted surface snorkeling.
