Shallow shore wall dive on Cala Paura's south side with small caves.
Cala Paura (Parete Sud) is a sheltered shore dive on the south side of Polignano a Mare's Cala Paura cove, where a limestone wall drops away from the entry and small sea caves break up the rock face. The site suits calm-water exploration of the wall, crevices, and overhead pockets, with sponges, anemones, and tucked-in marine life giving the dive its character. Divers without overhead training should stay in the open wall sections.

Safety Notes
Some cave sections can be crossed only by appropriately trained divers; keep conservative spacing near the wall and cave openings.
Access Restrictions
Cave traverses are only for divers with appropriate overhead-environment training; stay on the open wall if you are not trained for overhead passages.
Legal Notes
Use the public beach access and follow local beach rules, especially when swimmers and beach services are active.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
A compact shore dive on a shallow limestone wall with optional cave crossings for divers with the right overhead training.
Freediving
The sheltered cove and shallow wall edge may suit short breath-hold sessions in calm water, but the cave passages are not suitable for casual freediving.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling is most practical close to the cove in calm weather; the main draw is the shallow wall and its crevices rather than open sand.
