Protected inner-atoll giri with a calm drop-off.
Hakura Giri is a sheltered inner-atoll giri north of Hakura Island in Meemu Atoll. The reef is calm and usually free of current, with a shallow top that drops away on the northwest side to a deeper slope. That makes it a simple, easy-read boat dive for scuba or freedive planning, with the value coming from fish life on the reef and the cleaner open-water edge rather than big exposure.
