Mermaid Cove is a sheltered bay in Bandar Khayran that works well for try dives, training, and easy reef time. The inner bay starts on sand and a coral garden, then gives way to a more open outer reef and drop-off for divers who want a bit more structure. Plan it as a boat dive from Muscat and keep profiles conservative once you move past the protected shallows. Barracuda, clownfish, moray eels, nudibranchs, pipefish, and turtles are all credible sightings here.
