Iglesia

Coiba rock-corridor reef with shark traffic

Guided reef circuit through rocky lanes and sand cuts, with route choice shaped by the current and the open structure.

About Iglesia

Iglesia is a Coiba reef built around rock towers, sand cuts, and ledges that give the dive a cathedral-like feel. It rewards slow movement and good trim, with enough structure to keep the route interesting without turning it into a hard swim. The fish life is the main draw: reef sharks, turtles, jacks, snapper, barracuda, eels, and smaller reef creatures all work the cracks and open edges. A little current can sharpen the action, so the best dives are the ones where the guide lets the site breathe instead of forcing a straight line.

Local Intel For Iglesia

Community notes to help plan your visit.

Scuba

Best as a guided circuit that uses the structure and current rather than a straight out-and-back swim.

Freedive

Freediving can work on the shallower structure, but the site rewards careful route planning and comfort with depth changes.

Snorkel

Not a snorkel-first site; the most interesting terrain is better appreciated from scuba or freedive depth.
