Ram Faru is an outside reef in the South Malé Atoll with an interesting entrance into the channel, large coral blocks, and hard coral growth that make it feel like a compact Maldivian reefscape rather than a flat slope. The dive is mainly about the reef edge and the structure around the blocks, where torches help in the overhangs and where the mix of current and shelter pulls in plenty of life. It is a boat dive with a practical, routeable profile, so the main planning questions are current timing, reef-edge navigation, and making the most of the better-lit sections before the channel side darkens. The site rewards steady trim, careful finning, and a slow look through the hard-coral openings instead of a fast swim across the top.
