Bathalaa Thila is a submerged pinnacle with a reef top about 40 m long starting around 6–10 m. The site features anemones along with soft and hard corals, and is ringed by overhangs at roughly 10–20 m. Marine life includes frogfish and leaf scorpionfish tucked into the overhangs, with schools of bigeye trevally often seen out in the blue water and sometimes above the thila top.
