Balydon Shoals is a long, shallow shore-entry reef for drift divers who want current, structure, and a strong fish show. The top stays fairly flat and sparse as the current sweeps across it, then the southwest wall tightens the route and pulls the action into a moving line along the reef edge. Plan around tide and current because this is a controlled drift dive, not a lazy reef swim. Expect sharks, rays, pelagics, surgeonfish, bonito, and bumphead parrotfish where the wall concentrates life.
