About Starvation Reservoir
Starvation Reservoir is a broad Utah reservoir with clear water, rocky structure, and a strong mix of walleye, smallmouth bass, trout, and perch. Public state-park access makes it practical for shore or boat entry, and the open-water basin gives plenty of room to work around traffic. Wind, changing water levels, and seasonal ice in back bays are the main conditions to plan around.

A Utah fishing license is required for anglers age 12 and older. Starvation Reservoir is open to underwater spearfishing year-round, but largemouth and smallmouth bass are closed to underwater spearfishing from April 1 through the fourth Saturday in June, and normal size and daily limits still apply.
