About Spanish Anchor
Spanish Anchor is the classic shallow Molasses Reef dive near Key Largo, built around a historic anchor set in a healthy outer reef with coral heads, barrel sponges, and an easy mooring-buoy approach. It is a beginner-friendly Florida Keys site with clear water, steady boat access, and enough current and pelagic life nearby to keep it interesting without becoming a hard reef drift. The anchor itself is the signature feature, but the surrounding reef and fish life are what make the dive work.
