San Carlos Beach is a sheltered shore dive at Monterey's Breakwater with a gently sloping sandy entry, mixed rock and kelp, and easy access to nearby support. Entering from the beach below the breakwater, divers move from sand into the wall and kelp edge, which makes it a classic training and photography beach with frequent sea lion activity and dense macro life.
