To the left of the entry point, a sandbar remains at a depth of 1.9 meters, extending roughly 150 meters from the shore before dropping to 4.5 meters. Marine life commonly observed in this area includes octopus, striped juvenile catfish, toadfish, triggerfish, squid, cuttlefish, and occasionally baby Port Jackson sharks.
