About Nabucco Outer Reef 3

Nabucco Outer Reef 3 sits in the Kusu Island side of North Maluku, where reef structure, coral heads, and tide movement shape the dive more than any single landmark. It offers a wide spread of sightings, including eagle rays, blacktip reef sharks, nudibranchs, clownfish, jackfish, scorpionfish, lionfish, snappers, parrotfish, triggerfish, boxfish, shrimps, ghost pipefishes, and leaf scorpionfish, so the draw is a balanced outer-reef profile with both big and small life.

Local Intel For Nabucco Outer Reef 3

Community notes to help plan your visit.

Scuba Diving

Best for guided reef diving with tidy buoyancy and a willingness to adapt to the tide. The appeal is the mix of outer-reef structure and a very broad species list rather than a single marquee feature.

Freediving

Not a freedive-first site. The current-sensitive outer reef and coral relief make it a better scuba dive than a casual breath-hold stop.

Snorkeling

Casual snorkeling is only sensible in the calmest shallow water and only if a local operator says conditions are suitable. The outer-reef edge itself is better left to scuba.
