Short boat transfers and current-aware planning make local dive-center support the normal way to dive the site.
Black Coral Garden is a boat-accessed sloping coral garden in the Redang and Pulau Lima circuit, reached by a short ride from the resort dive centers. The slope carries black corals, anemone fields, and healthy hard and soft coral growth, with schooling reef fish and the occasional shark or ray in the blue. It is a regular Redang boat dive that feels best when currents are behaving, so it suits divers who are comfortable with reef slopes, boat logistics, and a bit of moving water rather than a flat training bay. The dry season gives the most reliable conditions.

Key Hazards
Safety Notes
Watch your buoyancy on the slope, check the current before entry, and give sharks and other larger animals plenty of room above the reef.
Access Restrictions
Dive it by boat with a local operator; current can tighten up around lunar cycles and the site is not a casual shore entry.
Legal Notes
Follow marine park and operator rules, keep away from coral, and do not harass wildlife.
