Elephant Head Rock
This reef dive site sits offshore between two of the Similan Islands and is marked by a granite outcrop that resembles an elephantโs head above the surface. Underwater, large granite formations are cut with channels and swim-throughs, creating a dramatic terrain to explore. Early mornings can bring active feeding, with crabs, sharks, and larger fish in motion. In shallower areas, large trevally are often seen hunting smaller fish, while deeper and mid-water zones can hold schools of fusiliers and other pelagic hunters.
Depth note
Shallow areas are mentioned, with whitetip reef sharks reported in deeper water early in the morning.
Typical conditions
Described as having good tide; early morning is noted for increased feeding activity.
Hazards
Safety notes

Tailored notes for different activities.
Scuba
A reef dive over granite formations with multiple channels and swim-throughs; early morning dives may feature more active feeding behavior.
