Easy Kohala shore dive for nudibranchs and other small critters

Scuba DivingSnorkelingShoreBeginner
Reef
Walk-in shore entry on the Kohala Coast; very shallow, critter-focused, and best when surf is low.

About NudiMadness

NudiMadness is a tiny, easy shore dive on the Kohala Coast built for slow searching rather than depth. The shallow reef and sandy bottom make it a good place to spot nudibranchs, small reef fish, octopus, and other invertebrates, with turtles and bigger sea life showing up on the right day. It works best when surf is low and you can take your time on the entry and exit.

Local Intel For NudiMadness

Community notes to help plan your visit.

Scuba

Slow shore dive with almost no depth to manage, making it ideal for careful critter hunting and buoyancy practice.

Freedive

The site is shallow enough for breath-hold looks on calm days, but the best experience is still slow scuba or snorkel-time searching.

Snorkel

Snorkeling works well when the surf is low because the site is so shallow and the critter life sits close to the surface.
