Yongala
About Yongala
SS Yongala is a largely intact shipwreck dive within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The wreck sank in 1911 during a cyclone, with 122 lives lost. The site offers opportunities to explore the wreck’s structure and observe a variety of marine life around it, with the top of the wreck around 15 m and the seabed reaching about 33 m.
