Bari Reef is a sheltered Bonaire shore dive with easy public access, a sandy start and a long terrace that steps down into a deeper wall. The site is known for dense fish life, coral heads and sponges in the shallows, while the outer slope adds bigger schools, macro subjects and occasional larger visitors for divers who keep an eye on buoyancy and the pier area.

Key Hazards
Safety Notes
Use boots on the rocky or coral-fragment entry, keep a buoy up near the pier and marina, and respect the fast depth change on the outer edge.
Access Restrictions
Use public shore access and avoid private docks or marina crossings unless you are staying there. Bonaire park access rules apply.
Legal Notes
Follow Bonaire Marine Park rules, including the required nature tag and reef-protection standards.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Best as a slow multilevel shore dive: work the terrace for macro and schooling fish, then extend outward for the wall and wreck edge.
Freediving
Only the shallow terrace is practical for brief freedives; the drop-off and pier area are better left to scuba.
Snorkeling
Snorkel the shallow terrace and pier-area fish zones on calm days, but stay close to shore and away from the marina crossing.
